Privacy Policy

Rev and Rev Preview · Effective 18 October 2026

This policy covers Rev for Mac and Rev Preview for iPhone, made by Timeless. The short version: we do not collect any data about you.

What we collect

Nothing. The apps have no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics and no advertising. They contain no third-party SDKs. We do not run a server that the apps talk to.

Your videos and projects

Your videos, projects and exported files stay on your devices. Rev saves projects and exports where you choose on your Mac. Rev Preview keeps the previews you receive inside the app on your iPhone. You can delete them at any time.

Local network

When you choose Send to iPhone, Rev shares the current preview with Rev Preview over your local network. The iPhone app uses the local network only to find your Mac and download from it. A 6-digit pairing code keeps other devices from downloading by accident. This traffic never leaves your network and never reaches us.

Camera

Rev Preview asks for the camera only so you can scan the pairing QR code shown on your Mac. The camera image is read on your iPhone to find the code. It is not recorded, saved or sent anywhere.

Crash reports

Both apps use Apple's MetricKit to receive crash and performance reports from the system. These reports are stored only on your device. They are not sent to us. On the Mac you can find them under Help › Show Crash Reports in Finder. If you choose to share your device's analytics with app developers in your Apple settings, Apple may share crash data with us under Apple's own privacy policy.

Purchases

The Rev Pro purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not see your name, payment details or Apple Account.

Children

The apps do not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
